"This business definitely needs a new name because it’s not a POWER HOUSE!!! The therapist lacks empathy, sympathy, love and compassion. She is very vindictive and malicious against people who are LGBTQ and those with disabilities. She has no knowledge or experience with any so if you are LGBTQ or have special needs or disabilities “DO NOT GO” She did not take the time to actively listen or even cared about how someone felt. She imposed her life and how she felt on me making me feel confused, sad and having more anxiety. Rather than help she made it worse for me to cope in the world. When I requested my records not only did it take over 2 months which was on her time, but she put things in my records that were not true. It seems like anyone can have a degree today simply to make money and not honestly help people. There’s so much more I could say but anyway I see them going out of business to come. Peace Out ✌️ Oh and it’s in the hood with no parking"
"Really good service for mental health treatment! Was nervous at first, but the advice has helped me tremendously. Plus they’re really to work with you! I recommend and wish you best on your journey."
"I definitely recommend Power House Psychotherapy & Addiction, LLC for talk therapy and for psychiatric medication services. My therapist is Ms. Coates also known as Ms. Temi. I love that she tells me the truth about myself and is engaged during my therapy session. I remember when I came to my first therapy session she said I will make the therapy work for my own life. The way that she guides my therapy is effective for me, with giving me assignments weekly (even though I sometimes find them hard to do). The assignments are helpful and they make me look at life and the world from a different perspective. I have always been truthful during therapy even before going to Power House Psychotherapy & Addiction, LLC, I found that, to be very useful for the therapist and helpful to me. This helps the therapist to see your problems and how you can work through your problems. Ms. Temi shows genuine care and I believe her many years of experience, knowledge and licenses in the in the field of psychology, social work and medical field gives her an edge over other therapists. At first, I did not feel as comfortable with therapy with her, my preference is having a male therapist. However, as time went on for some months I realized that she was firm about her points that she was making, only to help me in the end. I hope that I can continue talk therapy with Ms. Temi, for I feel like she is helping me and we are warming up to one another. Moreover, for psychiatric medication, I feel like David Alabi is an amazing Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. He is very kind, caring and listens to you. He always ask about how you are doing and how your family is doing. I feel comfortable talking to him about how my medications are working for me and how they are not working for me. I love that he does not make you feel bad when you do not comply with your course of medications. He does not yell and threaten you that he will kick you out of his practice. He encourages you and cheers you on to continue taking your medicines as prescribed. David Alabi is compassionate. It is a beautiful thing. Ms. Temi and David Alabi are doing great work here at Power House Psychotherapy & Addiction, LLC and I am hopeful that they will continue to help others for many years to come."
"The Supervisor here is absolutely horrible. She is apathetic, rude, careless, and very unprofessional. There was only one social worker who was absolutely wonderful here and changed my life, but she is no longer there. Look elsewhere especially if Tami still runs the place"
"This place is AWFUL! I do not recommend anyone coming here. I had someone that suffers from OCD, and you know when it comes to someone you love, you want the best for them, and the person that I love very much is my girlfriend, she was coming here to understand her OCD, hoping to improve each session. It was her first time ever receiving therapy, and her first experience, drastically changed her condition, it made her OCD worse. The therapist she was assigned too, showed poor effort, she did not help at all, actually coming to the therapy appointments each session has made her OCD worse. The therapist did not show any kind patience, nor was she friendly and gave a welcoming vibe, she would force conversations, barley would speak, when spoken too, the therapist would say things, and did not once try and help her patient understand what she meant or how it would help, nothing no feedback, the therapist would just force assignments expected her own PATIENT to improve overnight. The therapist was very rude, even when my girlfriend called in to reschedule an appointment because of transportation, the therapist would say " if your going to keep being late or anything like this keeps happening, you can go find someone else to help you". SHE ACTUALLY SAID THAT. Her actions were very unacceptable, and uncalled for you. When you come to places like these, you expect the best and you expect improvements, and expect someone to be there helping you, showing you they care. No one should not come here and feel unwanted and unimportant like their presence is a waste of time, I would never bring my girlfriend back there, and usually I don't even write bad reviews, but seeing how this therapy affected my girlfriend, I wish anyone who suffers from OCD, to never set foot in this place, this not an helpful environment and every patient should feel like their condition matters, and if your suffering from any issue, I wish the best for you, and please do not come here"
