"Dr. Charlena Sears is extremely knowledgeable about her profession. She is supportive and has been a great role model. When I first met with Dr. Sears, I was experiencing stress, anxiety, and grief. I felt overwhelmed by my emotions and meeting with her has helped me to focus on my concerns and change my thoughts and behaviors. "Where do I begin, this is not someone who cares or is concerned for your mental health or wellbeing. Dr Sears is more concerned about you paying her for 4 visits before she can help you in anyway possible. Not to mention Dr Sears is out of network. Her prices are overpriced, especially when her services don’t meet the criteria of excellence or integrity. 1. Consultation was $250… she was 20 mins late and never acknowledged it. She is very disorganized and doesn’t remember what she agreed to in terms of payment forms. $125 per visit. 2. After 3 visits, Dr Sears still didn’t know who I was when I called her. She doesn’t return calls in a timely manner. Dr Sears states you can call her anytime but never answers the phone. Not to mention I have only called her 3/4x’s. 3. Dr Sears doesn’t want to provide you with the proper documentation for your records. Dr Sears cares more about your financial obligations than she does the client. I have respectfully held my tongue in great hopes that Dr Sears would provide me with the help I deserve and the support that I need. Unfortunately, Dr Sears turned out to be more than a disappointment especially as a black doctor in practice. One of the main reasons why I chose to work with her. I was committed to the process so much I was bringing my newborn baby to therapy with me seeking the helped I needed, but Dr Sears failed me. *** SEEK HELP ELSEWHERE *** Dr Sears is not someone that has compassion or empathy. I have disclosed personal and intimate details with Dr Sears about my life that I have never shared with anyone else. Even after all that I have disclosed with Dr. Sears, she has expressed to me several times. She doesn’t know me/ aka she doesn’t trust or believe me and could not help me. However, Dr Sears knew me enough to take my money $450 for 3 visits. With 2 of the visits being rushed and cut short. Then when I asked Dr Sears how long the session where she stated 35/55 mins. Truth be told this was the first I have ever seen a therapist and it was an absolute nightmare. Anyone seeking therapy I urge you to go elsewhere. Dr. Sears license she be revoked. Dr Sears is not trustworthy and should not be in practice. Reason for visit: PPD/ Anxiety"
