"All the therapists and assistants I have worked with have been excellent at creating an exercise regimen and pushing me when I could but letting me rest and catch my breath when it was too much. I've been there for two separate issues 2 years apart and they all remembered me. The fact the staff I worked with 2 years ago are all still there says a lot about the place - they enjoy their work and have a real commitment to their patients. Would recommend."
"In March 2020 I underwent a 6-hour major foot reconstruction surgery. Two weeks later the country shut down due to COVID. I was non weight bearing on the foot for 15 weeks, on my back with my leg elevated for most of the day. After the removal of 2 casts, finally in a boot, I began my PT at IVY Rehab in Bloomfield, New Jersey. I did not think I would ever be able to walk again unassisted. My surgeon did not sugar coat the expectations for what would be a long road to recovery. Months of swelling, discomfort and PT would define my life while I learned how to walk again. Enter IVY Rehab and most important, enter the director, Michael Mozia who was patient, kind, and gracious in hearing my story and evaluating my case. He acknowledged my fear and concerns and gently enlisted me in the plan for my recovery. Michael was honest about the challenges ahead and the need for my commitment to myself to work hard. He designed a program of exercises, stretches and therapist hands on manipulation of the foot, ankle and toes. This included massaging my incisions, educating me on how to massage my incisions to reduce the amount of scar tissue and a home exercise program to support the work I was doing in my PT sessions. I questioned everything and balked at anything that looked or sounded like I would fail. And suddenly, something I could not do last week, yesterday or last month I was able to do and do it with less difficulty. Magic!! Michael was always spot on with the absolute perfect timing of when the level of difficulty in my challenges/exercises could be increased enabling my continued improvement. It has been comforting working with someone who enjoys his work, meeting new people all the time and lifting people up each and every day. Shout out to Michael’s team of professional, friendly and skilled staff, Kim, Emmanuel, Lawrence and Arleen."
"IVY REHAB in Bloomfield is the best! I found everyone there to be friendly, dedicated, skilled professionals. Vanessa Diaz was my physical therapist who helped me before and after my back surgery. She was remarkably knowledgeable in guiding me through stretches and exercises to minimize my pain, and expedite my recovery. I truly believe Vanessa was God sent and can not thank her enough. In less than 6 months since L4-5 back surgery at age 73, I am back to frequently playing competitive singles tennis matches, swimming, biking, and nautilus training."
"I have been going to Ivy Rehab for more than a month. The staff is very friendly and it is a relaxing environment. Michael hurts me when he stretches my wrist out but I know it is for my good and is helping. But it does not change the fact that PT hurts. Michael is a professional and knows what he is doing as do the others. I also take note of the care they provide for others. They know the structures and functions of the human body and that is important and they explain exactly what they are doing and why. Great job and I am looking forward when I can just go by to say hi!"
