"We had the worst experience with A&W. My wife and I were referred to the company by a friend who does his taxes with Ted Wozniak. Due to our family travel, we scheduled our meeting with Ted on the last day before filing the taxes. (confirmed by email by Ted himself) From our previous experience with other accountants, we knew it shouldn't a problem - for the meeting we came prepared with all needed paperwork and were hoping to file on time. The troubles started right at the reception - our appointment was not even on the list because Ted "forgot" to put us in (as his secretary confirmed later, it does happen with him often) and the receptionist spent quite some time on back&forth runs and name checks until we got to see Ted in person. Ted was courteous and spoke a lot, but at the end of the meeting he just suggested we file an extension and come back to do the taxes "without rush" the following week. We did worry about an extension because in case we need to pay taxes we will also need to pay penalty (there is no extension for that), which we told Ted about, and he promised that we would meet shortly. He obviously didn't have time for us that day. So both my wife and I followed up with respective Excel sheets after the meeting which we sent to Ted by email. There was no response to these. The following week I sent an email asking for our next appointment. No response. Then we called. In fact, my wife called three times within the last 2 weeks, every time leaving a detailed message to the secretary asking to call or email back. It's been 3 weeks since then, and Ted Wozniak never found a time to call back or respond to the emails. Apart from being completely unprofessional, it is disrespectful to say the least and besides being upset about the whole situation I am happy we did not trust our taxes to such an irresponsible person. NOT a reliable firm, with a messy organization and questionable work ethics."
