"Very well done, really says a lot about the community for erecting this 911 Memorial. Very cool American - eagle sculpture clutching a piece of one the fallen towers. A time line of all the events of that dreadful morning. You can see Sandy Hook across the bay, further out the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty and One World Trade Center on a clear day. Very somber place and very worth the visit. 460 Ocean Boulevard Atlantic Highlands, NJ 07716"
"We visited this small but important local park two days before the 22nd anniversary of the infamous attack on the twin towers. A dignified memorial is in the park as a tribute to over 140 local people that died that morning in those towers on 09/11/2001. On a clear day you can see the lower Manhattan skyline from the park."
"Nicely landscaped park with a memorial dedicated to 911 victims from NJ. There are sweeping views of Long Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Sandy Hook. There are trees providing shade, and sea breeze keep the park cooler than surrounding areas."
"The Mount Mitchill Scenic Overlook has a truly spectacular view of Sandy Hook, Raritan Bay and the New York skyline. There are coin operated viewers to get a closer look. You can also sit and relax on the benches and watch the passing ships. This 12-acre site is also a Memorial dedicated to the 147 men and women of Monmouth County who lost their lives on Sept. 11th. The path leading to the memorial is a timeline of the events of Sept. 11th. The eagle is holding a beam from the World Trade Center. Fun Fact: There is also a playground for the little ones."
"Nice park, highest point on the eastern seabord, great views of New York! The park is small and I parked right away. The views of New York get better the further you go with the best views being past the 9/11 memorial. There were people walking their dogs, some great benches... on a nice day it would be perfect to sit in such a calm and relaxing place and overlook the hustle and bustle of New York city in the distance."
