Reviews
"I'm a step-a-holic, when I'm visiting my hometown I love to walk on the boardwalk, there is something soothing about the ocean and scenery."
"Lots of people around doing their walking on the boardwalk there's a housing project in South Beach so lots of that element there so be careful you can get sucker punched as you're walking by one of them."
"We spent the afternoon here. The beach is wide and clean and not crowded at all. Lots of lifeguards. The boardwalk offers a great place for walking, lots of playgrounds for the kids. Ice cream truck! Bathrooms were very clean."
"Long beautiful and clean boardwalk, most of the time it had very few people. The view with the bridge in the background is beautiful too."
"This boardwalk, Ocean Breeze Pier, the Midland Beach promenade section, and all of the beach, are all amazing! It's peaceful, never too crowded, the views are awesome, and it's near the S51 and S52 buses from the Staten Island Ferry. You can also take the S79 or S53 from Bayridge in Brooklyn, and it's not a long walk from Hylan Boulevard. If you're looking for a beach getaway I highly recommend it! Yes, Coney Island and Rockaway Beach are good, but this place is an oasis away from the chaos of New York City without having to leave the city."
