"This is the most unprofessional dance school in Queens. Facts: As a paying customer I always paid on time, and arrived on time for class. First time I realized something was wrong was when she charged my card for services 2 days before the 1st of the month without my permission. I made it clear that some months I would pay cash, some by card. Tina stated, "Oh im sorry I miss understood your payment options? huh? Ms. Tina has no idea how to run her business in a professional manner. She lacks communication, professionalism, and does not have the best interest of her clients and the children in mind. The staff members and families are clearly unhappy based on their facial expressions. My child attended the 9:30 am Saturday Tap/ballet class. The Owner Tina was late along with her staff almost every Saturday morning. Even on the days where it snowed, all families would wait outside in the cold until her and her family arrived late. (The baby tap ballet teacher quit in the middle of the semester)She was an amazing teacher, but was unhappy clearly just like the parents. The first year my 3 year old attended I allowed her to continue because it was our first experience dealing with a dance school and my baby expressed that she loved to dance. The recital put together was a complete nightmare. All recital outfits arrived late, (even though she was charging a late fee if you didnt pay on time) This resulted in a cancelation for dance picture day; which was rescheduled 2 days prior...many parents spent money getting their kids hair done, like myself.....unfortunately we had to turn around and get our kids hair done again because of the lack of communication and unprofessionalism of Ms. Tina. I decided to give it 1 more try for another semester, but found out Ms. Tina lost the dance school for some unknown reason and relocated. How could she relocate....Tina held a Halloween fundraising event for the kids stating she had to get the floors done for her dance school. It was a very nice event. She asked all families to donate food, and drinks. The cost to attend was $10 per kid, and $10 per family member. She also charged us for a plate of food, and for drinks. Huh? Then turned around and closed the dance school for unknown reasons. The dance class size went from 13 kids down to 5 kids for the new semester. Clearly, many parents did not return to this dance school for some of the reasons i just mentioned. We went to the new dance school location, and my daughter was very unhappy. It was very unprofessional, the day we arrived it was 17 degrees, the back door was letting in a cold breeze. (this is where the children had to change clothes) My daughter did not like this sudden change of facility, and dance instructor so we decided to drop out of the dance school. 1 week before we dropped out I paid $75 for the recital outfit, plus I was already paid for a month in advance of dance services. Ms. Tina stated that I could not get a refund $75 for the recital outfit nor could I get back my advance payment for dance services. However she would still purchase the recital outfit and give it to me in May. Today June 14, 2018 is the dance recital and she states she still doesn't have my childs dance outfit. What if she was in the show..then what? I lost out on my 1 month payment, and $75 recital outfit fee. My friend who referred me here also lost out on over $500 because her daughter sprained her ankle, she obtained documentation from her doctor that her child could not dance and could not perform in the 4 shows she was supposed to be in, and some dance Competitions. Ms. Tina did not offer to give her anything back, and did not give her the 4 costumes prior purchased for the show. She only gave her 2 costumes just last week, the 3rd was on back order, and said she had to lend the 4th costume to another dancer. Like "what? "Where did all this money go? People say support "Black owned businesses" blah, blah, blah....never gain. Ms. Tina dance school is very unprofessional and is all about the money."
"The thing is their bad"
