Reviews of Pamela Schultz M.D.
"I have been seeing Dr. Schultz for several years and have been pleased with my medical care from her. But if you're considering seeing a physician at this practice, be aware that the office staff does not prioritize contacting patients when it's medically necessary. I received a positive reading from a Pap smear conducted in November 2022 but didn't receive notification from the staff until JANUARY 2023! In fact, no one called or emailed me about the results. Instead, MyChart emailed me that new test results were uploaded. It took 2 months to upload results from a Pap smear that could be an early sign of cancer? To add fuel to the fire, I contacted the office through MyChart on Feb 27, 2023 to report a medical concern. I'm not sure if I should be concerned, so I reached out to see if I should schedule an appointment. My message has definitely been read by a staff member (the system documents the date/time a message has been read by "staff") but NO ONE has responded to my message. I decided to send another message and asked for someone to respond. My second message was read and they still have not contacted me! If your staff is incapable or can't prioritize contacting patients with test results and/or questions, then they shouldn't be working in the medical field. This is arguably the most important part of their job - patient care."
"Dr. Pamela Schultz is extremely irresponsible and truly doesn't care about her patients. After my first time meeting her and her initial examination, cysts were found in my ovaries. This is MONTHS ago and no follow up from her and/or her office. I was the one who kept on calling ( I even went to her office) until I was finally told by her assiatant that I needed an MRI done. Getting a prescription for the MRI that she herself recommended is another story! After the MRI was done weeks ago, again I keep on contacting them to get some sort of results and recommendation from her and NOTHING!!! ... This woman does NOT care. Do yourselves a favor and find another Dr. There are so many in the area! I have a feeling this woman will be taken to court at some point!"
"My wife started going to Doctor Schultz during her last pregnancy. Her first ultrasound SURPRISE, we were having twins. Clueless, she continued to see her for all of her prenatal appointments, following every recommendation. Being a small practice. At one point half way through her pregnancy We started to ask if we should meet/see the other OB in case Dr. Schultz wasn't going to be available for the twins birth. Doctor Schultz assured us that there was no need, she'd be there when the twins were born. Number 1 goal was healthy babies and healthy mom. Number 2: My wife really didn't want a c section. Dr. Schultz assured us that if baby a was head down she would let my wife labor/deliver. Fast forward to 37 weeks. My wife had a prenatal appointment where Dr Schultz checked Her. She was 4 cm dilated but in no pain. Dr. Schultz told her to go straight to the hospital. By the time my wife was checked in she was 6 cm, still no pain. She was 7 cm before my I arrived. Doctor Schultz kept bringing up a c section. But as she said, baby A was head down, so we declined. With twins, there is a possibility of having to move baby B manually after baby A comes out. Dr. Schultz had strongly urged my wife to get an epidural in case they needed to move baby B. My wife was scared things were happening so quickly so she asked for one even though she still wasn’t feeling pain. She was 8 cm when she got checked in to L&D. I had arrived at this point, and my wife had the epidural. Dr. Schultz was no where to be seen. Unbeknownst to us, she left without telling us. Maybe an hour (two would be generous) later, the RESIDENT doctor insisted on breaking my wifes waters. No one suggested that she change positions or move differently to help the babies descend.. An hour after that they were starting pitocin. Mom and babies were showing no signs of distress. They did this for NO reason. Because it suited their time frame. When my wife started pitocin she started vomiting. They let this go on for an hour before they stopped her clock. They bullied us into the c section that my wife dreaded. While they were being born she was still throwing up. Her hands were tied to a table so a nurse had to hold a cup next to her head for her to throw up in. Baby b was rushed to the NICu. No one communicated what was happening. Just that he needed help. My wife urged me to go with my son, I was worried because my wife wasn’t well, and I didn’t know what was happening with my son. We later found out that baby b had fluid in his lungs which happens to a lot of c section babies. When you're able to push them out typically the baby will expel that fluid. My wife suffered PTSD from this experience. She was stripped of a choice. No one was advocating or communicating with or for her. Looking back now 3+ years later, after watching my wife have a successful, VBAC, no epidural, I wish we were more educated. All of this could have been avoided. In my opinion youre just another paycheck for this garbage practice. Avoid at all costs."
"My daughter is 12 and had been experiencing severe pain and bleeding. She was in the hospital for 4 days and prior to us coming to Dr Schultz we were referred to another adolescent gyno who was horrible. So my daughter and I met with Dr Schultz at first I thought ok she's not bad but she didn't seem to focus on the underlying issues my daughter were having. She put my daughter on birth control and told me everything should subside over time well False!!!! I've been calling the office since Monday due to the agonizing pain she was in and they kept saying Dr Schultz would call me but she never did. Today on Thanksgiving she was the Dr on call and pretty much blew my daughter off and told us go to the ER. I am disappointed and disgusted and definitely will not be going back AT ALL. My daughter is in so much pain she was screaming crying and couldn't even walk. But Dr Schultz doesn't care"
"I have been going to Dr. Schultz for years now and am completing my second pregnancy with her, and I can't say enough good things about her. Dr. Schultz is patient, kind, thorough and incredibly knowledgeable. She is calm and takes the time to explain everything with me, I never feel rushed or that my questions are silly. Dr. Schultz goes above and beyond to check in on me and I really like the personal attention of 1 experienced physician compared to other large groups. I am very lucky to have found Dr. Schultz and there is no one else I would trust my life and the lives of my babies with- she really is the best."
