"Transferred to Phelps OBGYN practice after having friends recommending their care. And I’m not sure why or how but my experience with their team has been absolutely terrible. Appointments are only available 4-5+ months out, even for bigger issues like infertility. The admin staff and Dr. Mendelowitz’s nurses are incredibly rude, talk over you, and as a result don’t correctly understand what you’re telling them. I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy in the ER and when I called Phelps for follow up bloodwork, Dr. Mendelowitz and his nurse were arguing with me because they didn’t understand why I wanted to see them and initially told me to go back to the ER for the rest of my care. I couldn’t believe it. After months of trying to be patient and see if care/service improves I’ve decided to find another practice. Just not worth the headache or the attitude. I felt like they didn’t care about me as a patient, even with something as serious as an ectopic. So disappointed."

"The WORST doctor. I was nervous I was experiencing a miscarriage as I had recently been in the emergency for gestational bleeding, and he refused to do any follow up care, blood work, and ultrasound. I had to walk out mid appointment because he kept speaking over me, dancing around my concerns, and told me “if you’re having a miscarriage, you’re having a miscarriage there’s nothing we can do”. Unprofessional, no compassion, and extremely rude. I was in the ER and was told to come for follow up care, when I got to the appointment, they didn’t even know I was pregnant(which I addressed in phone call when making hospital f/u call). Im so disappointed in Phelps OBGYN."

"I love Dr.Mendelowitz. The most comfortable I’ve ever been with any gyn, he’s awesome and very personable. I’ve only been seeing him for about 2 years, I wish I had started going to him sooner. I’m going to be so heartbroken when he retires :("

"Horrible experience - diagnosed with an ovarian cyst causing painful periods and heavy bleeding. Sent me for several ultrasounds but failed to give me any follow up treatments to help with the pain. They told me a cyst larger than 5cm was a concern and my cyst is 6+ cm but they haven’t given any options of treatment. Bedside manner is also horrible and I was turned away from my first appt for being 20 min late but then made to wait 45+ minutes for my second appointment. Will never return here !"
