"This is a review about the service of this office/practice rather than the patient care. Unfortunately, I was not able to be seen at this office, though I did make a substantial effort to see Dr. Cardamone for an annual exam. I booked my June appointment back in March, allowing myself ample time to get my exam and prescription refilled before it ran out. A week before my appointment, I called the office to confirm, and I was told that it was all set. The day before my appointment, the office called me to say that the doctor would no longer be seeing patients on Wednesdays, so my appointment had to be canceled. Then, they said she would not be able to see me until August. I explained that I needed to be seen within the next few weeks because my prescription refill was going to run out, but they said they couldn't help me at all - she was completely booked. Again, this doesn't speak at all to the medical care provided by Dr. Cardamone. It does speak to the poor planning by staff and poor treatment of patients from this office, however. I was very frustrated and disappointed that despite booking my appointment three months in advance, they canceled my appointment with little notice and did nothing to honor my appointment by getting me rescheduled within a reasonable amount of time. It's unacceptable."

"I am sorry to say I and my daughter had several really bad experiences here. I’m a single parent of a 16 yr old, new to the city, and you can imagine how important finding the right gynecologist is. It took us months to get an appointment - which I was bummed about but which I took as a sign that she was maybe really good. When my daughter finally got in, she felt like the attention spent on her was cursory and perfunctory. And she felt rushed. They discussed a certain protocol that requires ordering something. Dr Cardamone was going to call when it came in. We never got a call. I called the office (which also is tough to reach - the whole NYU/Langone switchboard is like a sophisticated maze you may or may not survive). Didn’t get a return call. Called back two weeks later. Said it was my second call. STILL didn’t get a return call. That was three weeks ago. In that time my daughter found a new gynecologist - loves her - had an issue, spoke to her. This other doctor (equally highly rated) made her feel heard and attended to. And she felt cared for. Dr Cardamone made her feel insignificant and invisible. And like the only thing that was important was making money. It was truly sad and I felt terrible for having brought her in in the first place. (Not to mention the 4 MONTHS we took just waiting for a call from her.) I do not like posting reviews like this. But I’m really disappointed and saddened by the time (and money) we wasted, and the effect it had on my daughter."

"First time visit and meeting Dr. Cardomone and I was kind of nervous at first but she made me feel comfortable and reassured me I would be fine..She was very informative and Nice..Her Staff was Great as well!! Looking forward to my next visit."

"Dr. Cardamone is an excellent OBGYN, she takes time to listen to your concerns, is not rushed, Excellent bedside manner, easy to understand and explain things and she is non-judgmental. I can always get an appointment when needed and she is very easy to reach. She works from a couple of different offices in Manhattan which is quite convenient."
