"I brought in my tax file two weeks before tax day, and asked that they be prepared by the same preparer as last year. Several days later, I was called and, without identifying herself, asked for my birthdate and Social Security number. I asked who was calling, and the caller identified herself as working for this company. I was shocked and told her so. During the call, I learned that my taxes were not being prepared by the person I asked for. I called about 11 times in the two weeks to speak to the preparer. The manager said she would pass along my request. She never called back. Tax day came and my taxes had not been prepared. I demanded my papers back from the manager. She did. As I left, another customer was coming in with the same complaint. I found the phone number of the old preparer, and he told me that he hasn’t worked there in two years. Draw your own conclusions."

"Video appt link never arrived, so they offered a call rather thank giving me a link. They couldn’t access my paperwork submitted through portal and left me on hold for 10 min “while they find it” then hanged up. When I called to inquire a couple times within my appointment time, and an hour later, Front office staff rudely told me that they were working on my taxes and Diane, the preparer, would call me in 10 min or as soon as done (odd since she had left me waiting for 10 min on phone before hanging up and had not asked me any of the customary questions about some of the extra forms we file). I spent an entire Sunday waiting for a callback. I had done my taxes with Emmerman and Boyle for years before they got acquired by Block this tax season…but They didn’t respect me enough to say that they didn’t have the paperwork and needed to reschedule."
