Spring Lake Beach Department

"I have been going to this beach for many years. It’s really safe and really clean. The beach is lined with Multi million dollar mansions with spectacular floral Gardens on each plot of land. It’s refreshing to see such beauty and groomed landscape along the beach. There’s plenty of open space to ride bikes and a wonderful boardwalk To take a leisure walk on. It certainly is a family beach. In my opinion it’s one of the best kept secrets of the New Jersey shore"

"Pristine beaches and ocean swimming pool"

"I really want to give this beautiful beach a 5 star but as I approached the beach entrance, between Essex and Atlantic Ave, there was young girl sitting there, collecting the entrance fee to the beach. I asked how long the lifeguards would be on duty. She said 8:30pm. I was surprised but I did not know enough to know she had just lied to me. I said to her, "Are you sure? Most beach lifeguards leave around 5:30-6pm." She insisted 8:30pm. Come 6pm all the lifeguards left for the day. Very rude and very insistent on her flat out lie, misleading me and several other people coming into the beach behind me. Also, there was styrofoam beads as well as larger pieces of styrofoam packaging along side the edge of the beach. So sad. This is a beautiful family beach. They need to hire well informed adults not children finding it funny misleading patrons."
