"Congratulations to all of the dancers who performed tonight. Unfortunately the dancer we traveled a great distance to see, never made it on stage for her number. The website cites building confidence. Although participation in the performance is optional, If a family comes to the performance expecting to see their child, greater effort should be made to help get that child on stage. I'm sure an audience full of parents could have been patient for a group of four year olds for a moment. She was scared, so were other babies crying, being held on stage, but they did it, on stage, with their teacher. I don't think a four-year-old should have been left behind for her only number. I think her first recital experience should have been considered important as well. Maybe they could have delayed or encouraged her or found a family member to come backstage to encourage her to go on while another number performed. I mean, this isn't Broadway. Additionally, when I inquired about a refund for the star that was purchased, and appeared not to be delivered, the man who I spoke to was rude and dismissive, and instructed his staff not to speak to me anymore. The evening was unforgettable for sure. I guess I should be grateful for the few seconds I got to see her in the finale before the older dancers were standing in front of all the little ones. This was my experience."
