"My son started Taekwondo here at age 6 and continued for 2 years until we moved out of the area. After visiting and observing several schools in the area, I feel Victory Taekwondo Academy is possibly the best taekwondo and martial arts school in the area. (It certainly was for us.) Grand Master Kim is an amazing instructor, and has done a great job of training his instructors who help out during classes, and some days, Master Kim teaches at this location (he divides his time between this location andI the West Windsor location). Their combination of encouragement, fun, firmness and challenge have a visible positive impact on all students. You can see it in the kids' faces - their enthusiasm, respect, confidence, hard work, and enjoyment. The instructors are also patient. For example, I've seen many cases when a child struggles with board-breaking, and after Master Kim (or one of his instructors) takes the time to coach him on exactly what needs to be done, the child GETS it and walks away feeling confident. The school also provide various tracks for those who want to lead, go on to Black Belt, demo team or tournament team. My son was overcoming some very serious health challenges that also affected his academic life as a 1st grader. With Taekwondo, and the instructors' positive influence in his life, we saw marked improvement in his focus, concentration, strength, coordination, memory, academics, attitude and confidence. He loved it so much he joined the Black Belt Club. We are in a different state now and hope to find a school as wonderful as Victory."
