"I cannot say enough good things about Elite Martial Arts. All of the instructors and assistants are amazing, I feel bad not naming each one them but Deshi Kelsey is the best, you can tell this isn't a job for her, she loves these kids and what she does. She pushes each student to do their best, not just at the Dojo but at home and school as well. Enrolling my daughter in EMA has been the best investment I've made in her future. Not just for the self defense aspect, but arguably more importantly her self-confidence and perseverance has exploded. When asked why do you like going to EMA? "Because it's fun and it helps with my focus and instead of it being really really hard, it's challenging but not too a point where I can't do it anymore. I just love it. And Deshi." Edit* after 4 years of watching his big sister/ playing on his switch while sitting in the dojo, my 7 yr old decided he was ready to join in the fun. At first it was hard, he was embarrassed about his asthma and needing to go use his inhaler. If something was hard like push ups he would quit, if he messed something up he would give up. After a couple pep talks with Deshi, he is now excitedly raising his hand to do demonstrations, less afraid of failure and determined to get it right. In just the first 2 months his school teachers have told me he has been so much more confident and focused in class. He is happily participating, raising his hand, and often helping other students if they need it. "He's like a new kid. Smiling and participating in class. Keep doing what your doing" Everyday he asks if and when he has karate, I've never seen him more excited to stop playing video games then when I say "time to get ready for karate." He only has to go 2 days a week, and has insisted on going 5."

Now she very independent and her distraction is getting better she's more focused doing thing on her own.
