"Staff, especially Sensi Dean is great. But the owner is horrible. Any time I call him or email, he doesn't contact me back except when he was looking to charge me 500 dollars for equipment that didn't even fit my child. When I contact him regarding belt tests or classes, he never contacts me back. My child was suppose to age up into the next level of classes in August. Five months went by and no response, no action from the owner. I contacted him a month ago to let him know we were leaving. I left multiple voice-mails and emails and no response. He went ahead and charged me for the next month and won't drop the charge. Thank goodness discover card has my back and will make sure my money is refunded."

"My three daughters and myself have been training at Hands of Life in Garwood NJ since summer of 2009. Two of the three, including myself, have earned our black belts, with the third continuing to train to achieve it. The school has grown a lot since the early days, but it's still the small family setting as it was when it first opened. There are head instructors, assistant instructors, and even student instructors that have come up through the school's teachings. Staff and instructors are always friendly. My daughters have learned a skill that hopefully they'll never have to use, but I know that they have something now that they can use. You will not get a black belt in 2 or 3 years. Anything worth something in life takes time and effort. You will learn a life art, and that takes effort and perseverance to achieve."
