"On my son's very first day of swimming training with Star Athletics at Saint Peter University in Jersey City, he couldn't contain his excitement and impulsively jumped less than 1 feet infront of him, unaware of its depth, Regrettably, this excitement turned into a distressing situation as my son struggled in the deep water, desperately gasping for air. Shockingly, the lifeguards appeared completely oblivious, engrossed in their own conversation, and remained unaware of the unfolding crisis. It was only through our frantic actions, yelling for help and his dad's urgent call, that the lifeguards finally noticed. If we hadn't raised the alarm and his dad hadn't called for their attention, it's doubtful anyone would have noticed This incident underscores concerns that Star Athletics might have hired inadequately trained lifeguards for a pool that's just over 3 feet deep, potentially jeopardizing the safety of the children they are entrusted to protect."
