"I've been a Blue Life Karate/Kickboxing program student since July 2023. I joined the 16-week challenge program to lose weight and tone my body. After completing the program, I signed up for the kickboxing program and, thus far, have lost 23 pounds. Under the careful direction of Master Howard Duran and the Coaches, the planned workouts have helped me build core muscle and upper arm strength from boxing, and the cardio has helped me with all-around toning and strength. The skill and professionalism of the entire team are caring, and they want students to do their best and want all to reach the desired goals they have planned for themselves. "We had car troubles late at night near the shop and the son of the owner, Austin (not totally sure on spelling!), saw us struggling and immediately came over to help. He played a key role in pushing our car into a driveway, gave great directions, and generally was the exact type of person you hope to run into when you’re in a jam. They are very child friendly and make learning fun while also giving the students knowledge of understanding the importance of discipline and they are trained to be leaders as well. The structure is so great that it inspires the students to push toward achieving more advance skills. They also encourage the parents to participate for their own awareness & wellness traing. "Our family loves Blue Life Karate so much. My older son has been a part of Sensei Howard's program for 6 years and my youngest son has been so excited watching his brother learn and grow that he joined last year as well. It's hard to describe within a review the importance of the inclusive, welcoming, supportive but disciplined community Sensei has built with his business. This is truly a special gathering place where everyone is welcome and everyone is respected. My older son sometimes struggles with focus and maintaining interest over time, but never with karate at Blue Life! He is always learning, always has a new goal to achieve, and always knows that he has to put in hard work to get what he wants. This place is such an asset to our community. It doesn't hurt that Sensei also offers aftercare for older kids too! So many great programs. I can't recommend Blue Life highly enough."
