Not only do the students learn to dance, they learn the creative process of choreography, choreographing their own pieces when they are as young as 6. Through this process they learn the language of dance, how to think about dance, how to talk about dance, and they also participate in the process of observing the work of their fellow classmates and providing supportive feedback. Lydia is a professional choreographer and the teachers are professional dancers, which adds a whole other level to the program.
