"I enrolled my 8 year son for the Junior Skills program in the Fall. This place is very organized and the Coach is always on time and never misses a lesson (I know these are the bare basics, but I have enrolled my son in numerous soccer clinics and these basics were not met). The class size is small (7 kids) and my son gets a lot of time to learn and practice new soccer skills. The last 10 minutes of the 1 hour class is scrimmages. Overall my son had fun and there is no place in NJ like the Florham Park Sport Dome, a really beautiful and spacious facility."
"Poor tryout experience. Revolving door is extremely dangerous. Tryouts were very short as it is and even started late because the check in was a mess and disorganized. Many children's names who registered for tryouts didn't have their names on the lists. They didn't let the parents watch the tryouts even though there is plenty of room in the dome for them to spectate. Lack of transparency leads to lack of accountability, which seemingly was the goal. Many returning players received priority and offers well before tryouts concluded, which the club didn't disclose, and which makes the tryout largely a facade for most age groups. Again, not transparent, even deceptive. Would not recommend."
"Terrible experience for my 5 year old daughter at her first tryout. After the tryout, when she was coming out she was shoved by the coach along with other small kids in a tight space in the revolving door. I could watch everything in front of me and my daughter came out traumatized with blood and scratches in the hand. I scolded the coach Justin telling him you were behind a small girl and don't you think you need to do a proper adult supervision and make sure kids are moved out properly. These kids have small fingers and we need to be careful when they are that small. Just teaching soccer is not enough and kids needs to feel safe. Also running a business cannot be just about numbers but also needs to have a human touch and it seems coaches there have no proper training on how to do adult supervision when taking kids out. So parents with small kids please be aware of the revolving door. Sorry not going back as my daughter does not feel safe in that revolving door! I have also let the owner Mark know about the incident then and there."
"Very disappointed with our experience. My son is very into soccer so in addition to playing in the town league we decided to get him skills training at FA. His group lesson coach was one of the young male coaches who had long hair (you will find out why we don't know his name if you read this review). While the coach is skillful at teaching, he is not friendly and not approachable to the extreme. My son who was 5 at the time had repeatedly trying to engage in conversation with the coach including asking what his name was 4 times. The coach ignored my son every single time. I was standing right there from a distance. If I could hear my son talking, I'm sure the coach could. The first couple times when my son tried to engage in conversation was during class so I told him maybe wait till before start of the lesson or after. My son then tried to talk to him after the lesson but he walked away right when my son was talking to him. I tried to engage in conversation with him one time after the class just to see how my son is doing and what are the areas that he needed to focus on. The coach pretended he didn't hear me while looking right through my face and walked away. I apologize if this coach has special needs or maybe is deaf so he can't hear, but if he can hear just fine which he appears to be normal how he interacts with kids and parents is absolutely rude. He killed the interests my son had in soccer and now my son says he prefers to go to a difference place for his skills lessons with more friendly coach. My son plays in another league now and the coaches are soooo friendly and encouraging. What a huge difference. So yes, I do not recommend this coach at FA. They think they are better than everyone else but the truth is they are nothing without passionate players and passion is created by engaging these young minds. When my son was taking the lessons, he said another boy in his group told him the coach is really mean and he was only there because his dad forced him to go to FA."
"Our son has been playing with the FA since the club was founded 3 years ago. We have been really happy with how organized the club is, the numerous opportunities for development, and the resulting growth we’ve seen in our son. My son loves his coaches and is playing at the top level in the state, regionally and nationally because the FA has set the team up for success. This club is not for everyone. It’s most suitable for kids who are committed to their development as a soccer player and competing at the top levels."
