"I used south shore for my cat's (Ernie) last few years. We always were treated with such kindness and compassion, especially the past 14 months when my boy was diagnosed with kidney disease and I needed to start giving him subcutaneous fluids. Whenever i needed supplies or a last minute visit, Stephanie and the other ladies were able to accommodate me without delay. In November 2022 Samantha in particular was amazing in 1st reassuring me that the dx was manageable and showing me how to do it while also dealing with my many many tears. I was happy to see Dr. Dodd was working there in Sept and saw Ernie one last time because he was his very first vet when i got him in 2006. Sadly, his symptoms accelerated last month and I brought Ernie in for a quality of life assessment on 1/16. We were seen by Dr. Ben who spent so much time with me and Ernie, gently discussing the options and helping me come to the painful decision that it was time to let him go. I had to take him somewhere else that day because they don't do the procedure there but they did try to help me and once again were so comforting and dealt with a lot of crying. So just sending this big thank you to everyone all and the sympathy card was so appreciated."
"If I could leave zero stars I would. We boarded my dog with them for 2 weeks at the beginning of November. When I picked her up she was 1+ IBs lighter and I could feel her spine. I was told she went on 3 long walks a day as a way to explain the weight loss. When we got home she was uninterested in eating and having diarrhea. We finally got her to eat something and she vomited. After a couple of days of this I took her to the emergency clinic since this vet does not hold night hours. At the emergency clinic we were told my dog was in kidney and liver failure and had a huge heart murmur that we were never informed of. We tried to fight for her, but she eventually succumbed to the illness. I wonder how long my dog was having these symptoms before I picked her up. We had boarded her here since she was their patient for the past 3 yrs and we thought a vet would be the best place. They knew she was having issues as I left a voicemail for them before I went to the emergency clinic and they never bothered to call us to check in and see how she was doing. I filled out a survey and requested that they call me and I have yet to receive a call. There are a few good people there, but the rest are mean girls. So save your pet and go to another vet and definitely do not board your pet here."
"Had a good experience here, vet was nice and staff was very helpful and kind (especially the brunette woman at the front desk who helped me with a coupon). I didn't feel like I was given much information regarding the issue my cat was having...rather just an expensive treatment plan to treat what was a bit of a mystery rash...turned out a little.hydrocortisone cream from Amazon cured it :) ($12 bucks)"
"Had to say goodbye to my dog. They were very caring, understanding and supportive. Besides talking to me with the concern, they listened the story of my dog and really show empathy. They gave us as much time and space we needed. The emotional support was much needed and appreciated."
"I want to thank Stephaine and Tanya the office manager, so much for taking such excellent care of my little 5 lb chihuahua, which was born with needing an operation called cryptorchid. I was so worried but Stephaine and Tanya keep me updated every step of the way. Tanya is so caring and takes great pride in her job loving and caring for animals. Stephaine was amazing she knows how I worry about my dogs which in fact. I owned 3 beautiful chihuahua which are all seen by Southshore animal hospital. She called me every step of the way. Dr. Asaro I couldn’t thank her enough for performing an amazing surgery… Thank you south shore staff. I would highly recommend them the staff is absolutely wonderful day. Take great pride and joy in their job loving the animals first. Thanks… love, Tito, Lillian and junior"
