Reviews of Bond Vet - Long Island City
"While the staff was super nice and the facilities clean, the vet visit itself felt very rushed, lasting less than ten minutes. It also felt like the vet was just trying to get me numerous shots, tests and procedures that were not medically necessary. I do not find the visit helpful because of this."
"I was referred by Sofia, one of the licensed veterinary technicians at the clinic. There was no wait time what so ever, my kitty (Kendra) and I got to see the doctor right away. The clinic is extremely clean and they have a lot of free treats for your fur babies. She came in with an eye infection and they were able to diagnose her and give her meds right away. I loved how the staff, nurse & Dr. treated Kendra. They were gentle with her which not a lot of places tend to be with cats. I also received $100 off the whole visit for being a first time client. 10/10 will be recommending to my friends and family!"
"I had the pleasure of Sofia assisting me for my first visit. As a new kitty mom of 2, she eased my anxiety as one of them had strange bowel movements. Dr.Krieger was gentle and loving while handling my fur baby. She answered all my questions and did a thorough checkup, all while not making the kitty nervous. All the staff in this establishment is so knowledgeable and loving to the animals. The place itself is relaxing for us humans, and the treat bar makes sure to keep the animals at ease. Thanks to them the process was a smooth and such an enjoyable experience! Would recommend to all my fellow fur parents."
"I have two kittens, both 6 months, and I was able to get them both vaccinated, and neutered/spayed at bond vet. The staff is very friendly, and helpful, and the clinic looks better than most human doctor offices. For the surgeries, I was able to receive pictures, updates, ask questions and even get a cat care bag after with treats and little gifts. I will say, they are more expensive than an average vet, but they definitely put in more work and effort than other vets. I will also say that if you express difficulty with paying for services, they try their best to work with you. I was able to get a discount on my first visit, and a discount on an expensive surgery for the cryptorchid neuter of my boy kitten. Overall, the service is great, and I definitely would recommend."
"Terrible service. Bright my dog who has been itching his back tremendously. The vet didn’t even look or touch the scab that I found on his back. I showed her a picture of it. She said it could be allergies. Then brought out the laptop with their pricing of every exam In the world. I explained that this cannot be allergies. The dog didn’t have any other hint of having allergies (which would be licking paws, watery eyes, ears infected. Etc.) I have had many dogs with allergies. This was just a scab. Then I asked her to clean it and she said “I would have to shave the spot and that would look ugly.” Next, she said that urine and bowel samples should be taken. I explained he just went. She said she would give me the containers to bring home to take the samples, but then would have to charge me again for a visit when I bring it back and the only way to not get charged is to get a sterile sample of his urine (which would mean to inject a needle and get it directly from his bladder). This would have been been fine but I again reminded her that he just went outside and then she answered “oh yea I forgot. Then he won’t have urine,” I was shocked at her comment of charging us again if I bring back the samples and said that I don’t see why if I was just dropping the samples off. She said “Oh yea that’s true”. By the way, the next day I called a manager to complain and they said that because I had my baby daughter with me, I was not paying attention. Not very family friendly and a complete lie because my daughter was sleeping. The manager read the vets notes in the system which said that I was the one who refused to shave the dog and I refused the allergy injection. I never refused to shave the spot but I did refuse an injection of allergy medication when no blood tests were taken to verify this impossible diagnosis. Went to another vet and they said I was lucky to have not agreed to the injection as it was only a small previously infected scrape that scabbed."
