"Surprised to see anything but 5 stars here. Dr. Buchholz is super knowledgeable and helpful. Even though we moved we will still drive a long distance to see him because we trust his opinion and he provides the best care. Clean clinic, nice staff. The location is a bit annoying get to, but at least there's easy parking (private parking lot) and prices are very fair. Highly recommend!"

"Good place to visit, a little tough to get to but the staff and vets that look over our dog. I feel the staff members have an understanding to care for and find any problems our dog may or may not have."

"I am happy to review Jersey City Animal Hospital. I called explaining that I found a dog and asked about scanning fir a microchip. 5 minutes after closing time, they still helped me. Days later I decide to foster the dog. I made an appt to get the dog , now called Nucky, vaccinated. The day of the appointment we waited just a few minutes and Nucky was seen. Although the place was busy Nucky was not rushed. Dr.Buchholz called me and filled me in on the his exam. Everything went smooth. I appreciate the great customer service— especially during COVID. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and Jersey City Animal Hospital."

"VERY BAD PLACE! After our Husky Puppy got diarrhea and felt bad, we decided to go to the Emergency Pet Hospital. They treated her good, but we wanted to make sure what the reason for this problem is, so we went to the Animal Clinic & Hospital the next day. Even after we explain that puppy feel absolutely good and act normal, doctor Buchholz did almost the exact same thing that we already did at the Emergency, even though we said and showed hem the Bill so he can understand what steps we already did. The Hospital was 275$, and the Animal Clinic charged us AGAIN 230$ !!!! for different injections and pills. Without any exam, only after we insisted to make a poop exam, he agree to do that. On next day clinic call for said that puppy got some parasite and we need to pic up our medicine, and charge us again for 65$!!!! same medicine on amazon cost 14$!!!!!! Animal Clinic & Hospital doesn't care about health of pet, only about money!!! they dont care that our puppy already got medicine and actually its never good to take a lot medicine, that she is actually okay, didn't hurry to make exam for find the reason of our problem, just try to get more money!!!! if you care about your pet be careful when choosing a vet! But Make Sure you DONT GO THERE $$$$ !!"

"We've been going here for a little over a year and they've treated our pup (Orion) really well. We were referred by the rescue group we got him through, and Jersey City Animal Hospital gave us a discount for adopting a rescue. They're the only vet we've gone to, so we have nothing to compare with, but prices seem reasonable. The staff are almost always exceptionally awesome over the phone/at the desk, and the Dr's and assistants are really compassionate/friendly while diagnosing. They always give us a quote before proceeding with anything and try to offer options if something is out of budget/might not be totally necessary. We're also curious about potential homeopathic approaches for some issues that come up, which they don't seem to offer, but we've been happy with all of the treatment they've provided so far. Overall, would definitely recommend!"
