I dropped off a prescription today at 11:06am and specifically asked if it was in stock since they stock very little. I was told yes it was and to return in a few hours to pick it up. I just received a call letting me know that the medication was out of stock. It is 5:23PM."

"Change is hard. Those who remember Mendham Apothecary are having difficulty adjusting to the "big box drugstore" atmosphere! End caps and shelves are loaded with candy and snacks ... you can't pick up your prescription without having them in your line of vision. Little yellow sale tags are everywhere, making it hard to see the product you are looking for. The gift area? ... totally gone. We were told that CVS was going to maintain some elements of the small town uniqueness as an experiment ... all they did was put existing items on sale and get rid of them. Former employees seem a little scarce, unless they are just outnumbered by inexperienced cashiers, pharmacists and techs, who are pleasant but not as knowledgeable. Experience counts, especially when prescription questions need answers. CVS is trying, but they have lost a number of faithful customers."
