"This was the worst service experience of my life and this will be long because of how crazy the experience was. In summary: nothing here is done in a timely manner, they have no regards for deadlines, the communication is awful, and the seamstress gaslighted me and talked down to me for a mistake she made. I brought in two dresses to be tailored. I was told both would be ready in 2 weeks. They were not. Not only did I receive my engagement party dress 3 days before my party, but it was tailored so poorly I could not wear it and had to scramble to find a replacement dress! My other dress was not ready at the same time. When I brought my dress back to be fixed, the seamstress didn’t listen, gaslighted me, and talked down to me the entire time. She insinuated it was MY fault that the straps of my dress were cut uneven. She never apologized. When I asked if I could still receive a refund she said I couldn’t because the owner was out sick. I reluctantly agreed to get the dressed fixed so it was wearable and was told it would be ready in 2 weeks. I called after those 2 weeks to be informed that it was JUST given to the seamstress. When it was finally ready it was a whole month later and they still charged me $40 when I was told they would fix it for free. This place is beyond ridiculous and I would not recommend it to anyone. Please try anywhere else and save yourself the stress, time, and the money."
"Brought in a pair of brand new pants to be hemmed. Just regular pants, not lined or anything. A few days later, I happened n to notice the receipt they gave me and it has two charges, $7.05 and $22.50. When I called yesterday to ask why two charges to hem a pair of pants, she told me that they were dry cleaned. I said I did not ask for them to be dry cleaned, only hemmed. She said it was the “owner’s policy” to dry clean an item that comes in if it doesn’t have the price tag on it. That is the most ridiculous “policy” I’ve ever heard! I will not be coming back to this place again. This is cheating your customers. Overcharging the customer for a service not asked for or needed, and not even telling them. It’s not that $7.05 is a lot of money, but I did not ask for my brand new pants to be cleaned. Just hemmed. And I thought $22.50 was a lot just to hem them. The gentleman who waited on me did not communicate that they would also be dry cleaned. Otherwise, I would’ve taken my business elsewhere. You guys lost a customer. Stop stealing from your customers!"
"Dropped a coat off for zipper repair. At pickup the price was 200% greater than what was listed on the drop off ticket. I noted the price was significantly greater than expected. The owner noted the price on the drop off ticket was just for dry cleaning and they ended up having to replace the entire zipper. I let him know I was fine to pay it but no one explained the already clean jacket was going to be unnecessarily dry cleaned (a service I didn't ask for) and that the price on the drop off ticket only represented the dry cleaning, not the zipper repair I asked for. He said that's their policy - no tags, it gets dry cleaned. Instead of simply acknowledging that no one indicated this and moving on, he became defensive. He pointed at the ticket saying it says dry cleaning and said I should have read it. I said that's fine, but for all I know the system doesn't have a zipper repair option and it will simply say dry cleaning because you are a dry cleaner. I said, I also only asked for zipper repair and the woman who gave me the ticket never mentioned their policy so I didn't feel the need to closely review the ticket - I felt like the requested services were clearly communicated and understood. He wouldn't acknowledge any of it and acted as though he was infallible. People make mistakes. I clearly did by not closely reviewing the ticket and asking questions when dropping off a coat I only asked for zipper repair on. But communication is a two-way process and the owner doesn't understand that. He was unwilling to recognize they might have made a mistake in communicating their policy. Considering the owner's inability to comprehend a policy may not have been communicated and that the "repaired" zipper has loose threads up and down the stitching, I would recommend taking your business elsewhere."
"Maxine and Lynne were absolutely incredible! I reached out by email to inquire about having my wedding dress altered and Maxine was responsive and helpful. The day of my first fitting I was feeling uncomfortable and was dreading the process and Lynne made me feel beautiful and special. All of my concerns and nerves about how I looked disappeared. The cost for the alterations was very affordable and the quality and attention to every detail was apparent. Lynne is a master seamstress and Maxine is a wonderful, caring business owner. I will 100% use Perfectly Pressed again!"
"I read great reviews & decided to take 2 dresses to be hemmed that were going to Texas for our Nephew's wedding then going on a Cruise while down there. Their Seamstess absolutely helpful & I felt confident when I left. She suggested sewing in bra pads which saved my dilemma due to the style of the dresses. I was given a date of 1 wk so I called to confirm then was told Wednesday, I told the gentleman on the phone my Husband would p/u on Thursday. Thursday only 1 dress was ready so my Husband left it til a 3rd date of Saturday was then promised. $133 for 2 hems, bra pads & pressed [ Which I didn't ask for because I knew they would be a wrinkled mess after being in the suitcase ] I was surprised at the price but we were leaving the next day so I was happy the dresses were finally ready. The day of the wedding I took the 1 dress out & there was a 2 inch long blue ink line down the chest area of the dress! I was so upset! Luckily I know hairspray takes ink out & remedied it myself. Too expensive, no apologies for the 3 delays on p/u, pressing the dresses when I didn't ask for that service & the big ink spot on the front of the dress."
