"Had a leak under a bathroom vanity and we had a guy come out for an estimate. Didn’t like him at first as he did not give any quotes besides that the company charges $300 an hour. I’ve asked him to assess what would be the issue and what it would take him to fix but he kept avoiding the question. After I told him that I’m not interested as he is not being transparent he said that he thinks it’s the gaskets and it would be $175 to fix and if it does not fix the problem I don’t have to pay him anything. We agreed to that and then he got out a rusty drain which was the cause of the issue. However in the process he cut the PVC pipe and now the price was at 330 plus parts to resolve the issue. Considering that we couldn’t just leave it we agreed to get it done. Took him 3 hours in Home Depot to buy wrong parts and slap it in there. 2 hours after he left the pipe came out as it was getting held up with some tape?! We called the company and the next day they send someone qualified to fix the problem. Next time will go with a local handyman versus a huge company that has no quality control"
