"this place has a doorbell during regular operating hours, indicating that they only want to serve a certain customer base and they want to be able to judge the people they allow into the store before they enter. take with that what you will."
"I happened upon this store during my jury duty lunch break and it is truly a gem! Wonderful treasures to be found and the staff is always so lovely and helpful. It is fun to look through their incredible inventory and prices are very fair for the quality of items (and given that it’s consignment) Also gotta love their sales! I make it a point to pop in whenever I am in the neighborhood. Highly recommend!"
"They are a consignment store. If they can't answer their phones, then their voicemail should indicate that they are by appointment only! However it does no such thing. I walked all the way there with two heavy bags only to be told they are by appointment only. I explained my situation and the fact that their voicemail does not say as such, you'd think that they would make an exception. However, despite there being several employees on the floor, they offered nothing, but a business card. No thanks! I'll take my business elsewhere."
"Real good price range and had a very extraordinary experience shopping there today! Did very enjoyed the store’s environment, very well putted together!"
"This is a really special place. It's rare that a gem in New York only gets better if you tell other people about it, but this is that kind of place. It's amazing to shop from the closets of fellow Brooklyn women who care about design and quality. It's a great way to discover designers you wouldn't usually run across--and they carry tons of indie designers. The folks who run it are lovely and down to earth. The store itself is cozy and warm when you step inside from the loud commotion of Atlantic Ave. I stopped by one evening to pick up a really lovely merino wool sweater. As I tried it on again later at home, I realize it smelled wonderfully fresh and was soft like butter to the touch. It was meticulously kept--I really appreciated buying from people who obviously cared for their special pieces. We all have wonderful clothes in our closet that just didn't work out and this is a sustainable way to pass it on. I've sold some clothes here and the experience is fair and breezy. I often sell my own clothes online, but some pieces benefit from trying on in person to see their appeal so its great to sell them in a shop versus a resale platform--especially smaller designers that stand out in terms of quality of materials. So I just love this shop as a buyer and a seller of secondhand clothes! They also run a popup space nearby that centers creative small business endeavors."
