"My teenage son passed his Junior Drivers Permit test and said to me in the DMV, “can we go driving now that I have my permit?” "Of course" I said yes! I thought about it, I had just been told by AutoZone the day better, that my alternator was bad and that I had about a week before I will need to replace it. AutoZone had just swapped my old battery for a new one! This was the next day! I had the green light from AutoZone to drive a bit, so I wanted to honor my son’s request and reward him for passing his Permit test. How could I say no to his request? He had been scared to drive months prior to asking so I wanted to keep him motivated!!! He drove for ten (10) minutes, I asked him to parallel park and once he did, the car shut off on it’s own. He asked me “what do we do now?” I said that we’ll call someone to help us. I called my daughter who gave us a ride but the car was still stuck! When I got home, I called different mechanic shops, visited three (3) and the fourth one that I went to, HB AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE, is the only one to actually listen to my plea for help! I called and spoke with Benjamin (a.k.a) Benji and he heard my situation as I explained my situation to him. He then asked me “so where is the car right now?” I told him that it was miles away so I asked him if he can help me. He said “Yeah Mon” Jamaican for “Yes”. He told me the date and time that he would be available and I met him at my car. Benji brought my car over to his shop, gave me a free diagnostic check-up and the very next day he called me and told me that I can pick up my car and I drove it home. He informed me about what else was needed to be repaired on my car and I he told me to give him a call when I am ready. Thank you Benji for coming to pick up my car, when no other mechanic wanted to go and help me! I greatly appreciate you picking it up and bringing it back to your shop!!! Thank you for not being too busy to help me with my car trouble! I can now understand the reason I have seen your business existing in my neighborhood for more than thirty (30) years!!! Your sustainability is truly very impressive!!! I am very satisfied with my very first service at your shop as a first time car owner!!! "I called wanting to figure out what day i could bring my car in to get the clutch checked, and i got so much attitude, my schedule varies on a weekly basis , so i was trying to plan ahead, all he kept saying was , "you have business for me ? " and I said is the google hours right for your locations and he was yelling hes open to come now and wouldn't let me get a word in, horrible CS & there was no need for screaming on the phone when i just had question about the business. Ill take my $ else where and make sure to re route people looking for a auto shop."
