"Joe installed 2 hot water heaters for us about 4 years ago with no issue. We called him subsequently to replace a toilet, he promised to come, and then "ghosted" us. We recently had a problem with the hot water heater he installed (he used a hose instead of a pipe and the hose started leaking), we did get him on the phone, he asked for pictures which we provided, and then there was no communication whatsoever. He did not respond to multiple texts or calls over the period of a month. If a business owner is not interested in taking on a job, that's fine. Just say so! But he did not stand by his (substantial) work, either. We had to hire a different plumber at significant expense to fix the leak. That plumber said the hose should never have been used for this installation."
