"Total rip off. They ask for a $225 just to come out and look at your heating system. They require 20% of that fee to be paid at the time of scheduling, which is non refundable. And then they give you an 8 hr window for the appointment. If you pay with a credit card, they charge 5% extra (not the standard 3%). Are these people for real? How are they still in business. Save your time and money by hiring someone else. Before the owner comes here and asks me if im sure i have the right company, yes i do. I did not agree to the terms and fees imposed for just a visit. So, no, you will not find me in your system as a payee. Im reporting my experience as a someone who was in dire need of having their heating system repaired, and a provider who was trying to take advantage of that need."

"My house has been running on oil since we moved in 13 years ago. We knew a day would come where we would switch from oil to gas and this was the year to do it. When we had a leak in a valve by the furnace, I searched google for a HVAC contractor and found Union Heat. Hector came out and gave me an honest review of the state of my boiler (over 25 years old) and an estimate to make the repair. He also proposed a replacement and conversion to Gas and provided us numerous options to consider. We ultimately decided to change out our boiler and convert from oil to gas. I could not be happier with having chosen Hector and his team at Union Heat. First off, he is one of the nicest contractors I have ever spoken with and he is so incredibly knowledgeable. He gave realistic expectations on what the job would entail and provided us all the comfort we needed. I did my due diligence and got a second estimate and was disappointed with the other companies proposal. It was night and day with the professionalism from Hector and the 'other company'. He was also very reasonably priced based on my research. We are very happy with our new Navian combi furnace - it takes up so little space and gives us awesome hot water when needed. We did not do a separate hot water tank and will gauge if we need one after this upcoming winter. From what I know about this combi boilers, I don't think we will have any problems and in fact I think the residential hot water will be better during winter. It was a big job and quite messy but they worked long and hard to get it done, made it look good, and cleaned everything up afterwards. I will recommend Hector and Union Heat to anyone looking to get their Heating and Cooling serviced."
