"I recently had the pleasure with working Greg, at Chatham Lawn Mower services, to have 2 of my brand new Westinghouse generators serviced (yes, 2 brand new generators directly from Westinghouse) as they failed to startup out of the box. First, I’ve called and emailed Westinghouse’s support team for help on the issue for over a week. Westinghouse’s response, was to have me change spark plugs, lightly tap on the cylinder/carburetor to get the liquids flowing, to adding teaspoons of gasoline in the spark plug cylinder in attempt to fix “my” problems. Keep in mind, I am not by any means mechanically savvy and these are new generators that I’ve purchased for emergencies. Why should anyone need to fix something that purchased new? A call with Greg, made all the difference. He listened patiently to what happened and what I’ve already attempted on my own. He suggested a few more possible scenarios for me to try, before I sent them in for repair. Still, the generators failed to start. Greg had his team come and pick up the generators 2 days later. As it turned out, one of the generators needed a new battery, which instead of Greg buying a new battery and charging me for parts and labor… he instead suggested that I go back to Westinghouse for a battery replacement, which I did and received for FREE under their warrantee! The second generator’s issue was a “clog” on leftover gas that was sitting in the cylinder/carburetor while in storage that cause the generator not to fire up. “Simple” issues that Greg pointed out and fixed! Throughout the process, Greg was patient, informative and professional with responding to all of my questions and concerns. Greg and Chatham Lawn Mower services takes pride in outstanding customer service and for me my experience with him clearly shows their commitment! Thank you Greg!"
