"Bad service result! He fixed my fridge a couple of times back in 2022. This is a one man shop. The owner Jeff didn’t have the right tool to do the right job. It took him 1-2 hours to melt the ice to check the problem. He charged us an amount (need to search the receipt) on the initial visit and said the credit will be good for 3 months if the fridge broke again. It did break again in a month as we expected. We later purchased NJR insurance services. I was so kind to talk to the insurance that Jeff had spent time on my fridge; I asked NJR if I can use the same gut and file the insurance with the same coverage. NJR agreed. Jeff heard the insurance company will pay for it and I had $800 annual coverage, he got greedy and listed an $1000+ estimate on all kinds of possible repairs and some of them I've told him a couple times that I did not need it, for example: the ice maker. I had bad feeling since then but I already asked him to continue to do the service, I hated to cancel it out of courtesy. Since I appreciated his effort on the first visit that he spent around 2 hours at my home just to melt the ice. He requested me not to deduct the credit of his initial visit's charge. I was so kind to honor it. He later changed the circuit board, sensor and heater for a total of $704.98 (price on 7/15/22 before the recent inflation) and NJR had paid for it in full. Spent a total of $900 to fix the Bosch fridge (circuit board) and it broke again in 3 months. I called the owner Jeff to come over and he told me, it's not worthy to spend any more $$ to fix it again, just buy a new one and left! Unbelievable! It might be the same problem. I suspected the circuit board and other parts he ordered for us are NOT brand new. If yes, there should be some warranty. I called/texted/e-mailed him to send me the parts purchase receipts but he refused to response. later I called him and told he should be responsible to fix it. I asked for the receipts of the parts that he ordered from the manufactures, but he refused to talk and said I'm done with you. He hung up my phone. This guy is NOT experienced in what he claimed he can do and is irresponsible. One time our dryer had loud squeaky sound when he was here to fix the fridge. He said we need to order some expensive parts. I did not believe him. I asked help from NJR home service (my insurance company) to fix it. They sent a contractor over (his name is Alex) and Alex fixed it in 1 hour and there is no need to order any parts. All I had to pay is the $50 copay. My husband found JP Repair Serivces online (which we never used him before) because NJR insurance company could not find a contractor in my area at that time to help us for a couple of months; therefore, we needed to find our own. Now we got an irresponsible and incapable guy Jeff to do a lousy job, and did not fix the problem. Only 3 months it broke again. Now we have maxed out our coverage. All repair cost will be on our own. DO NOT use this guy. I blamed my husband who did not ask for referrals from friends or local community forum, and let a stranger come to our home to fix it. When the refrigerator had problem again later in the same year 2022, I had NJR send a contactor over and it happened to be the same guy Alex. He was a lot better and efficient than Jeff. Alex used a fire guy to melt the ice in 20 minutes then checked and found the problem. That moment I realized that Jeff of "JP Repair Services LLC" did not even had the right tool to do the right job. Be aware! JP Repair's owner Jeff is NOT experienced on fridges or dryers. We need the original factory receipt for parts warranty but he refused to send us a copy. It's very fishy. Maybe the parts he got for us were used, not brand new. Anyway, DO NOT use him."
