"An aquarium store unlike any other in the Philly Metro area. Such an amazing selection to choose from, and really friendly staff. Two good things to know if you're visiting. First, prepare for a minor wait on the weekend. They're a busy shop, and the staff won't come up to you to see if you need help. They're too busy, so once you've made your selections you need to approach them and ask for a place in line. Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with this, but if you're used to the PetSmart people immediately asking if you need help, you'll be a bit surprised. The longest I've waited for service here is about 10-15 minutes. But don't worry, this shop has so many different tanks to look at you can EASILY wait that amount of time without even noticing. Second, they're not the cheapest. Their prices are definitely higher than the big chains that sell fish. But, those higher prices translate to better stocking and higher quality tank maintenance. Going to a big store you're liable to see many dead fish, and several grossly overstocked holding tanks. Not so here. They're clearly investing the time and resources into keeping quality stock. This is the only store in the area where I haven't lost a single animal when transitioning them to my tank. So yes, be prepared to spend more, but it's worth it."

"This place is so cool. They have everything you need for a salt and fresh water set. The staff was awesome. It's just a fun place to go and look at some awesome setups. Great price on corals as well. I bought a lot of corals and all are healthy and doing very well."

"The Best Aquarium Store I've found so far. The selection is great, the prices were not outrageous, the staff was pleasant and helpful. Their selection was plentiful. I found some great additions to my fish community! They have great deals as well. I got 12 little tiger barbs for $20. I love them in my tank. My new Angelfish is getting acclimated nicely, and the others are already at home!"

"Fantastic store with reasonable prices. Enormous selection of freshwater and saltwater fish and live plants. Employees are also very knowledgeable and friendly. They will spend as much time with you to answer all questions. Gets very busy on the weekends, but worth my half hour drive from NE Philly."

"My 55 gallon fresh water tank is from Aquarium Center. The majority of the fish in the tank are from Aquarium Center. They have knowledgeable staff and lots of fish for any type of tank including salt, fresh and brackish. They also have all the food, chemicals and tank accessories you could need like filters and hoses, plants and gravel/sand. I have two other pet stores closer to me but I will go out of my way to come to Aquarium Center for all my tank and fish needs. Update: it has been a week since I bought some fish at Aquarium Center. Two died within the week. Their policy is to bring in a water sample, the receipts and the body of the fish within two weeks and you may be able to get a refund if the water sample is ok. I was told over the phone when I called that the bodies weren't necessary just take a picture. I did and returned to the store with my water sample. Everything tested normal, I was told to bring bodies from now on, and was given my refund. They have a good return policy."
