"Customer service is pretty good- there are not many employees working the floor, and this is not their fault- I’d imagine they payroll and hours they have for the store are pretty minimal (as a previous retail manager) that being said the employees who are the eye and stocking and working are available to stop and drop whatever they are doing to answer your questions and take you to where you need to go to find the items you are looking for. The cashiers are also just as friendly and competent- The only down side to pet smart Is the corporate pricing- way too high-they pals program is ok but you have to be diligent in adding offers to your account, or you can miss out on savings."

"I was just yelled at from across the store about my dog being in a quiet down stay. I have always utilized pet stores including pet smart for training opportunities, and have never been told off for it before. However, I don’t mind being told I can’t. I do mind getting yelled at in front of people when the employee could have politely informed me I needed to have a hold of my dog’s leash at all times. He was focused on me and in my line of sight at all times and only about 10 yards away from me, but again, I would not have had an issue grabbing him had she just politely asked me instead of coming around a corner screaming at me."
