About Us
Located in New York, United States, The Pool Bar is a unique institution that offers a rooftop pool experience year-round. In the summer, guests can enjoy a cool and refreshing swim, while in the winter, the pool transforms into a cozy "pool-cuzzi" heated up to 95 degrees. The Pool Bar, observation deck, and pool have two seasons - Summer/Fall and Winter/Spring, each with different reservation policies.
During the winter season, guests can enjoy après swim at the Runway Chalet at The Pool Bar, an Alpine hideaway serving festive libations and food with a runway view. The tented, heated bar offers a unique experience as guests sip on Spiced Toddies or house-made hot cocoa while watching planes ski cross-country.
The Pool Bar occasionally hosts private events, so guests are advised to check the dates before planning their visit. The pool and observation deck have different schedules and admission fees, with the cost of food and beverages being additional. Pool reservations are required, and guests can book via email or ResortPass.
The infinity edge pool at The Pool Bar offers a stunning view of JFK's bustling Runway 4 Left/22 Right, with a beach entry, underwater seating, and a TWA logo mosaic in gold and red colors. The observation deck provides a view of the famous Bay Runway, measuring almost 3 miles long. Guests can also enjoy the spirit of the glamorous Sixties at The Sunken Lounge, dine on specialties by chef Jean-Georges, and step back in time on a 1958 Constellation airplane turned cocktail lounge.

"I went to the Paris café for breakfast food was good, however it amazed me how they’ve neglected to maintain the place. In particular, all the seats in the booths had cracked leather or plastic surfaces and were taped over with masking tape and the carpets were in desperate need of shampooing. It’s hard to imagine that a place like this which has gone to such lengths to make it special and has a landmark destination has allowed this neglect to occur which would only amount to perhaps a few thousand dollars of needed repair ."

"Had a great solo experience here. Service was courteous and professional. It's a bit pricey but both food and drinks were good. The pool seem a little crowded at one point but i still had a good time. Valet parking is expensive too."
