"They sold me a chlorinator a few years ago and now they do not sell the tablets for it. Asked the person who answered the phone why they don't sell them anymore, the answer was not a good one. Not remotely helpful. Asked them if they had granular chlorine and how much, they were too lazy to provide a price. I'm sure if I wanted an expensive yard set, he would have jumped right on it. Lost respect for this place. Always liked this store before, when they wanted to help. I guess they just care about the amount of the purchase."

"My husband and I decided that it was time to transform our backyard and wanted to start with an inground pool. We shopped at several different pool stores and ultimately decided that there was no better fit for us than Add On Pools. From the moment we sat down we were given honest answers to all of our questions and accurate timeline of how long installation should take. Steve and Freddy were an absolute pleasure to work with. Freddy and his crew do the actual installation and I cannot rave eventhough about how professional and educated they are about the work they do. Our job site was left clean every day and most importantly secure. This was a concern of ours being we have children and we have many other small children in the neighborhood. Freddy always took the time to explain to me what step they were at in the process and what would come next. All of the guys on his crew showed pride in their work and we were incredibly impressed by how fast they worked every day. The electrician and mason that came to our job were equally as impressive. Each took the time to walk me through exactly what they were doing and left us well informed after they left of what the next step would be after them. The mason took the time to walk me through the design of our concrete layout and make a few suggestions of areas he felt needed a little bit of tweaking. The finish on our concrete decking and cantilever coping is simply beautiful! We have already received so many compliments. The most exciting part of the process is of course filling the pool. Freddy gave excellent clear instructions here as well. He wanted to make sure that everything would be up to our approval. He took the time to explain what would happe . As the pool fills and how the liner would fall into place and the wrinkles would disappear. And finally the last stage was balancing the water and a gentleman by the name of Rich coming over to show us how to use the filter, properly backwash, vacuum and check the water to make sure it was stable. He made sure to answer any questions we had and even repeated a few steps that my husband and I needed clarification on. Since the installation has been complete I have visited their brick and mortar store a few times to have the water checked and to ask some simple questions. It is great to walk into a small business and have them recognize your face and truly care for you as a customer. Their pricing on the items for your pool such as chemicals, floats, masks etc is comparable to Amazon and other large retailers. My husband and I would both highly recommend Add On Pools! We had a wonderful experience and could not be happier with our new backyard!"

"Total RIP off. You bring your pool water sample, They test it and you need over $200 in chemicals. I trusted them for 25 years. ( I felt totally used.) How I know. I got 15 gallons of liquid shock, put it in the pool , went back with a water the next day. They told me I had NO chlorine in my pool. The water testing is a SCAM to make you buy chemicals. ALL YOU NEED IS GRANULAR SHOCK. $15. I usually don't put a review. Try Pool Shack in Hazlet. Great opening and closing. Honest about chemicals. No pool problems in 4 years. AVOID ADD ON POOLS if you want a fair deal."

"My fiancé and I purchased multiple items from this store. The price was good. And they were helpful. But after two uses of this propane fire pit we purchased it has a white film all over the top. The owner told me it's final sale and will not work with me and then told me her rep for the company is no longer there. This is bothersome considering we spent 5800.00 after we lost all of our patio set to sandy. I find this extremely upsetting. All I can say is buyer beware add-on pools will not back up there product."
