"Disappointing. No Ophthalmologist appointments for new patients until February 2022. I had an appointment with an Ophthalmologist next week 7/30/21. I needed to reschedule because of my work schedule and the scheduler said I couldn't until February 2022. I canceled it. When I called back in 5 minutes to get this appointment back (so I could work something out with my work), the scheduler said "No, You can't get one until February 2022." Very disappointing and rude. "Already a patient of Southern Shores Eye Center, I decided the time had come for me to seek aesthetic treatment for my facial flaws. After learning about the TempSure radiofrequency treatment for stimulating collagen production, presented by Dr Lee at an open house earlier in 2019, I decided to give it a go. PA Already a patient of Southern Shores Eye Center, I learned of the new laser from Dr Lee and how it works at resurfacing the outer layer of skin. I have had facial acne scaring for my entire adult life. I have tried microdermabrasion in my 40's but it really only gave me a subtle improvement with my acne scars and no improvement with the deeper ones. I have always wanted to have a permament fix for my acne scars, but the downtime of an erbium laser deterred me. (I have seen actual pictures from 2 of my friends, and I know that I want a much more conservative approach than what the erbium delivers.) I still want to be able to go out and not miss out on life in the few days following treatment. So I decided to go for it and try my first laser treatment! Nurse Ronnie showed me how to keep my face cool during the process which was very comforting and helped me know what to do for myself when I get home. Ronnie prepared me for the mild zap that I would be feeling and she allowed me some short breaks at first so I could be more comfortable. Once I got used to the feeling, I gave her the okay to progress with the rest of my treatment. When complete, I was so thrilled that I finally did it and had the treatment that I really needed! I went to a wedding a week after the laser treatment and I got many compliments from people in person and moreso from social media pix, from people who don't normally send me compliments!
