"If you are in the city and need a ring resized this is your guy!!! $75 20min His work shop shows you that he knows what he is doing and everything is done right in front of you. Go to the address and take the elevator down 1 floor to the mezzanine (MZ) and his shop is first door on your left"
"My partner proposed to me in New York and my ring was unfortunately too big. I wanted to get it resized and looked on Google reviews and A Y Jewellers had received the highest. I was not disappointed at all when I went! He knew exactly the type of metal and gave me options of sizes to try on to ensure it was the perfect fit. He fixed the ring in just under 20 minutes and did a fantastic job! We waited outside his workshop when he was doing the ring which he didn't mind us doing. The workshop can be difficult to find but the receptionist is very helpful when you walk into the main building. When you get in the lift you want to click MZ rather than a floor number. His workshop is the furthest on the left. Would highly recommend ☺️"
"Ara is amazing! I had a horrible accident with my engagement ring (my friend tried it on and it got stuck and had to be clipped off her finger in the ER). Ara was able to fill in the missing white gold and repair it so that it looks brand new, on the spot, within 40 minutes. I even noticed a small blemish on my way out and he fixed it immediately. He also tightened my stone setting and cleaned/polished it. A super reasonable price. I hope my ring doesn't break again, but would definitely return if needed and recommend to any friend! He is clearly an expert with jewelry."
"If you are commissioning or bringing fine and extremely expensive jewelry, then there’s a chance Ara is your man. He told me clearly that he has a number of very valuable pieces to work on, and that it was nonsensical for me to think he should waste his time on my work. I have been collecting and commissioning jewelry pieces since I was a child, and this is the most ridiculous and belittling experience I have had so far. Please read below for more details, and find the image of my piece (that Ara considered “100% complete”) attached. I came to Ara last Wednesday (August 9th) to get a brass nameplate necklace cast into silver. I was to purchase the chain myself and he would cast the nameplate and assemble the necklace for me. Ara was a little brusque but I didn’t pay much mind to it at the time. When I called on Monday, Ara repeatedly told me he’s busy and that it wasn’t done. I asked when it would be done and he said he doesn’t know, he’s busy. I had to ask multiple times for him to then tell me it would be 100% done by Tuesday (today, August 15th). I arrive today only to find the nameplate has still not been finished. My task was to bring a chain and closure for him to assemble it, but as you can see in the picture it’s nowhere near close to being ready for assembly. I ask him about it and he tells me again “I’m busy.” I’m taken aback because it doesn’t make any sense to call me in to pick up an unfinished piece when he knows I want a finished product. When I ask Ara again when it’ll be done, he gives me some noncommittal response and I get frustrated and ask again for a clear answer. Again, he says “I’m busy.” I tell him that he gave his word that it would be “100% finished” and that I need him to be clearer with me. He then proceeds to raise his voice and tell me that it’s not like he lied to me, and that “I have all these [far more expensive pieces] so why would I waste my time on yours?” I asked for the pieces back, paid him, and then left his shop in tears while he proceeded to complain loudly to his colleague about me. If he didn’t think my work was valuable enough for his time he should have referred me to someone who would. He was dishonest and tried to convince me that he said only the casting would be done today, when I had made it clear I was coming to pick up a piece that was ready for assembly. He was quick to speak to me aggressively and was argumentative throughout. It was like pulling teeth trying to get any information out of him. I have a lot of patience for different personalities, as long as they have integrity in their work — Ara clearly has none."
"I want to send a special thanks to Ara for the fantastic job he did on me and my wife’s rings. He was very professional and informative. He kept me in the loop and was extremely honest. He took the time out to resize the very rings my own jeweler refused to do because they weren’t skillful in the art of resizing the rings. I will be sending more business his way and continue to utilize his skills even more in the near future. Thank you Ara."
