"Jack the owner is an easy going Armenian goldsmith. Nothing fancy-schmancy about him, he is a down to earth guy. Recently I gave him an antique diamond ear ring set, 0.8 caret, previously set in white gold, that I had bought at an English auction to be recast into a 14K gold setting, since my wife expressed a desire to see it reset in gold before she would wear it. Initially, I was reluctant, but then I gave, thinking why not? I was then thinking of Panchalee's request to Bheema about her desire to have the fancy fragnent Sougandhigam flower. I am no Bhima, a mere mortal, but still off I went ... When I was there, Jack went beyond his duties, he took liberty in showing me another VS-1 clarity 0.66 caret diamond from his safe that he encouraged me to buy from him for my ears! I am still not convinced it is necessary, though I am thinking about it on and off, somewhat seriously. He promised to set that too in 14K gold, for a fee, if I choose to buy it. He feels that is a good option for me."
