"They’re lucky I have to give at least one star. I don’t even know where to begin what the 2 minute experience visiting this Kay location was like. My fiance and I were there to look for something to exchange with the earrings he got me for our 3 year anniversary. The moment we walked up to the counters this woman older with hair color that matched her skin caramel glasses who seemed like the “manager” on duty. Her presence was very abrupt the way she approached us 3 times within the 2 minutes. She walked up from behind us as we continued looking at the wedding bands and said something like “what’s about this bag you’re exchanging”. It was weird. My innocent fiance walked over to her because he didn’t know what to do. I had to mouth to him “we’re leaving now” as I walked right in the opposite direction before I ruined ours, hers, and her associates entire day. My fiance isn’t quick to pick up on “female banter” but even he said “she seemed just so impatient there isn’t even anyone shopping in the store”. Don’t recommend :)"
"I was very satisfied in purchasing the earrings for my daughter. The store manager Liz was very helpful in helping find what I was looking for."
"Liz was fantastic and so so helpful! So warm and friendly. I love the delicate jewelry and Kay doesn't ever disappoint."
"The employees at this Kay Store were outstanding. We had a unique situation trying to get our rings serviced under the lifetime warranty that we had purchased in Canada 15 years ago. We were told it was possible but the first Kay store we went to in New York basically dismissed us, didn’t try to find a solution and wanted us to pay for a service that was under warranty. That all changed when I spoke to Angela the assistant manager at the Bergen town center Kay Outlet on the phone. She did not quit until she found a solution, talking with her district manager and customer service. She explained that it was a unique situation but she knew how to help and since we would only be able to come after her shift she left detailed notes and instructions for the store manager Liz. Liz knew who we were when we entered the store and was so efficient, kind and understanding. She and Angela did what the other Kay store said was impossible. They were a team that put the customer first. Our rings were serviced on time and made us loyal customers! Thank you!"
"Customer service here is terrible. My boyfriend got my necklace chain replaced through insurance, however they gave me a longer chain than the original one. We went in to get it exchanged to a chain of the original size, but the person we spoke to was extremely rude. She kept saying that the chain we currently have is the same size as the broken chain we gave in, which is just not true. She said “maybe this is a different chain you brought in” basically accusing me of trying to scam them or something for a replacement of the chain. She also said “why didn’t you bring this earlier”, well because we have different schedules and full time jobs and it was the first day in a week and a half that we had time to, but that shouldn’t impede you from helping us. The girl at the front showed me a picture of the old broken chain and the new chain and said “see it’s the same size”. She was showing me pictures of chains from different perspectives with no ruler next to it measure it or anything, so what are you even saying?? Now the manager Liz gave us the customer service number that I have to call to get this replaced. Fine we leave and do that. JUST FOR THE CUSTOMER REPRESENTATIVE TO CALL THE STORE, AND GET A HOLD OF THE SAME RUDE GIRL WHO ACCUSED ME OF LYING TO THEM. First and foremost, customer service was very confused as to why they didn’t just replace the chain. Then the customer service rep was also confused why this girl was so adamant of it not being the same size. This girl is acting as if she has to buy the chain from her own pocket the way she’s acting. Please, train your employees to DO BETTER and not accuse customers of lying. We’ve previously been loyal customers of Kay but this sour experience is swaying us from getting jewelry from here ever again."
