"First impressions are everything! They answered the phone with, "Hello?" Instead of announcing the name of the business. I confirmed that I was calling Credit City. She said I was, and asked my name. I gave my name, and she said she couldn't find my account. I said this was my first time calling and there is no account to find. I had to repeat multiple times the reason why I was calling. Eventually, the light bulb went off, and she realized what was going on. My confidence in this company is beginning to wane, but I continue. I ask how to get started. Do I make an appointment? Is this online-only? How does your company work? She gave me a convoluted explanation, something about IdentityIQ and giving my social security number, and to be frank, it didn't sound like she knew what she was talking about. I thank her for her time and hung up. After an experience like that, there was no way in the world I was going to give them my social security number or any type sensitive personal information. I'm glad I called instead blindly handing over that information online because I got a glimpse of what was on the other end!"
