"I set up an appointment with these guys, waited for an hour at the property, these guys do not show up. No calls or anything. In fact I had to track down why these guys didn't show up to the appointment. Their excuse was they are busy with work, so I managed to get a second appointment and this time they showed up and I got the quote, and I agreed to pay them what they asked, as I needed their services. Their craftsmanship and professionalism is abysmal at best. I let them work on the property, I got an email saying they did the work, so I went out to inspect and they didn't finish the job, so I had to call them to find out, their excuse was it was due to weather, then why sent an email that the work is done? These guys use subpar materials and they don't stand behind their work. After couple of months, the exterior work they did started to fall apart. I called them, email them, but no response. I am not happy with their work nor they stand behind their work as they promised. Please do not hire them for any services."

"We hired them to do a number of tasks including installing some trim on the floors along the fireplace. We bought the stain as they did not want to be responsible if it was the wrong color which is understandable. They bought the wrong type of wood so the trim does not match at all and they glued the trim to the floor so that it can not be removed without destroying the floors. They installed about 15 sets of blinds incorrectly. Poor quality, no craftsmanship or pride in work. Terrible. Terrible. No accountability."

They followed up with additional work I added, and before leaving everyday they cleaned up so I didn’t have to worry about any mess. My bathroom looks beautiful, and I am very happy I chose them. Steve recommended a great place to go to pick out my supplies and even picked up my order when the bigger items came in. I would definitely recommend The Neighborhood Handyman to my friends and family, and I won’t hesitate to call them for my next project."

"They did work for my mother and she was charged the ridiculous price of $175 to hang art on the wall with her own ladder. She questioned the price, and Steve went in an uproar. He was screaming, cursing at her, and threatened that if she didn’t pay the price, he would deal with her “in a different way”."

"Took months to build a small closet and the mess that was made was unbearable. Disrespectful workers who did not care for your home. They cut wood right in your living room dust all over, they covered nothing. The owner than took payment and the job was not complete. He kept promising to come finish the molding and never showed up. Stay away from this company."
