"When I first opened my trucking company I didn’t know much about the business. I agreed to pay close to $25,000 a year for General liability and cargo insurance. My deposit was close to $7,000. I tried my best to keep my business open with a high over head(Insurance), after 7 months I couldn’t afford it. So I told Walter to please cancel my insurance. I contacted FMCSA and told them to deactivate my USDOT. I was told that I had to wait 45 days for my deposit to be returned. It took them close to 60 days and then I received a check for only $675 from $7,000 deposit that I had left. I contact Walter and he said he didn’t control that part of the business that’s between me and the insurance company. These people don’t care about helping you at all. All they care about is selling you a high premium. Specially if you are new to the business. Making their commission and cleaning their hands after you sign the contract."
