"The student body is diverse and motivated. I feel like I am getting the best possible architecture education experience. Taking out loans hurt but I personally feel Pratt is worth it. Their architecture program is giving everything I expect from one of the top architecture schools in the world. Leading professors, motivated classmates, constant exhibitions, the school working closely with the city beyond campus, WORLD CLASS fabrication labs and tools, fancy studio space, etc. At Pratt the world becomes your oyster."
"I would like to respond to the statement that, "Pratt is a great place to go "if you're wealthy". I am a Pratt grad, I don't know any former classmate who was/is wealthy. Many had jobs while in school, one of my friends had a job at Macy's which grew into a job doing display windows which grew into a full time design job at a salary at 4x the usual pay. You don't need to be wealthy, but a willingness to work hard is imperative. Most of us were very familiar with student loans. If you really want to do something it's worth putting your money where your mouth is, The State sponsored school I went to right out of high school was worthless; a real waste of money. Pratt was worth every penny."
"Top notch education. My sister went here and was valedictorian of her graduating class. Beautiful campus and great location. The education she received here has worked wonders for her career!!!"
"If you're wealthy, great place to go. You'll learn a great deal and love it. If you're taking out debt? You can get a much more cost effective education elsewhere. Loved my time here, but I'm paying $1,300 a month for the next 13 years to pay for my education. So at this time, it is hard to say it was worth it. I took out $120k in student debt when I went, but I'll pay over to $210,000 by the time I finish paying. Yay compounding interest. Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere if you have to finance."
