"The Regency is a very nice condo building overlooking the beach at the north end of North Wildwood. Rentals are only offered directly through owners and renters must be pre-registered with condo management. I'm lucky enough to be friends with some owners, so once in a while I get to enjoy the great views and wonderfulness of the Regency."

"We rented unit 428 at the Regency from the owner. The Regency lobby is pleasant, the location is great, and the views are spectacular! We enjoyed the pool area, which did not get too crowded during our entire stay, and the pool was heated. Inside the facility, there's a fitness center. All I can comment about the fitness center is that it's for owners exclusively; no guests. This revelation was disheartening, because the unit 428 owner included a picture of the fitness center in with their rental listing. Aside from that, the bifold pantry door in the unit was falling apart at the hinges. Somewhat of a hazard if you have children. And, it was abundantly clear that nobody cleaned the unit before our arrival, despite the fact that the owner chooses to have the guest foot the cleaning bill. Also, I noted a scratching noise in the hall ceiling when I left the unit one morning. I thought, it can't be, until I took the trash and recyclables down to the end of the hall. There was a mouse trap there, so yes, it very well could be they've taken up residence in the ceilings and walls. The price was rather high too, considering we had to bring our own towels and bed linens. Also, although there were people at the front desk, you couldn't depend on them for much. We generally rent at full service resorts, but we have rented single family vacation homes, and I must say, I've never felt so taken advantage of. Really, I get it. Buy the property, rent it out, make some money. That seems to be the main goal of the owners of this unit. The location and views were great though, and that is why I gave this property a 2 star rating."
