"Used to be a good place to live ... Now that rent went up it doesnt even have security, pay $50. to park in the garage and gate are always open. People smoking in " a free smoking building" hallways dirty, laundry wall with mildew."

"I've been here for some time and have seen a massive change. Since I moved in new management took over and things have been a down heel spiral. No new maintenance on the building. It's not enough staff to keep up with the once use to be nice building. People are moving in infesting the building with roaches and on lower levels expect to see mice. Overall, I love the neighborhood, away from chaos and close to everything and the rent is reasonable. But you get what you pay for."

"I'm from Philly so when I moved to AC a few of my co-workers and my mother said to try to get into Vermont Plaza....... So I applied and got in. My years of living here has been a good experience. I see people saying it's roach infested and that's a BOLD FACED LIE!!!!! The location is great, I'm 2 blocks away from the liquor store and one block from the convenient store which is a plus..... this building is small and medium dog friendly..... There is working washers and dryers on every floor. There is parking that is included in your rent for a small fee. There is security present and they are all on alert and very polite. Management is very kind and understanding. Whenever i have any problems in my apartment which is hardly ever, I let the young lady in the office know, she immediately writes down my problem and contacts the maintenance men right away. The maintenance men are even kool as hell and they all work hard. Like any building, yes there are minor things that goes wrong and they have been working on upgrading the building. Of course things take time. Yes the elevators have went out twice of my 4 years living here but they (management/maintenance men) have the elevators guys out within a half an hour to a hour with the problem fixed. The rent here is very affordable, and the units are carpeted and nice. Plenty closet space. I love love my apartment!!!!! If your just getting on your feet here is a pretty good place to start"

"I've lived here for 17 years and it's been great. The people are nice and it's quiet. I never really have any problems with my apartment. Tanya is always helpful especially to the elderly. Scott is a fair manager but people take advantage of the opportunities he gives. I would recommend living here to family and friends."

"I have been here for 2 years. Let me explain a few things. I do not have roaches, this building gets exterminated every month for free. They contact every resident with a letter under the door to let us know of anyone exterminator coming into the unit or of the maintenance to fix any problem we might have. As long as you mind your business, pay your rent be respectful as u would want to be respected you will not have any issues. My unit is spacious and bug free. I love it here. It's close to the jitney stop which is right on the corner. We are ONE WHOLE block away from the beach and boardwalk. This building is wheelchair accessible. My floor is quiet all with people who work. We also have laundry rooms on every floor. The rent is the lowest in the entire AC area which helps New comers or people trying to get back on their feet a fresh start. As long as your following the rules and regulations like u would anywhere else you wont have any problems."
