"Went to Lafayette in the sixties. I was a member of the scholarship. block destined for college. Had teachers like Mr.Zelon for biology, Mr Berger for chemistry, and Mr.Hankin for Math. There wasn't a better educational experience in New York. Went on to become an optometrist. Many of my classmates and friends have similar success stories. So many detracting stories about Lafayette I thought there should be at least one in praise."
"My cousin goes to this school and she is extremely happy with the teachers , staff , students , and level of learning. Her English is second language .This school has diversity of students from different religions , cultures , languages and backgrounds. My cousin's father was killed in Iraq and her mother was worried in the beginning but everything was great after that when she sees her daughter's becoming more intelligent , smart , and happy from school. Thank you on behalf of my deceased uncle's family."
"I went to Lafayette high school in 1971 1972 I didn't speak English and mostly hung out with Italian kids bc I spoke some Italian! It was fun times but the school wasn't great! The only teacher I remember is Mrs Cohen."
"I went there for one year, 1971-72, for 9th grade. It was awful, I was bullied by the Puerto Ricans, and being new had no allies. A lot of bad kids, some poor teachers. They tracked me in the idiot classes when I should have been in honors. Just a horrible experience."
