Rutherford High School

Rutherford High School, located at 56 Elliott Place in Rutherford, New Jersey, is a prestigious secondary school known for its academic excellence and vibrant student life. As we enter the last quarter of the school year, spring sports have begun and exciting events are on the horizon. Recently, students enjoyed the popular Spirit Week, showcasing their school spirit and camaraderie.

Congratulations to Miss Barcenas and Ms. Garcia's English 300 class for their 1st place win in the RHS NJGPA prep contest. The entire junior class competed in practice tests on the Albert.io platform, preparing for graduation assessments.

In the Foods classes, students recently completed a Pizza Dough Fermentation Lab, learning about the fermentation process and tracking the development of CO2 in the dough.

The Guidance Department is gearing up for post-secondary planning events, including the Bergen County Directors of Guidance College Fair on March 20th. It's never too early to start planning for life after high school.

Three RHS students received top honors in the New Jersey PTA Reflections competition, with their works reflecting the theme "I Am Hopeful Because...". Additionally, students excelled in the Rutherford Elks Lodge 547 Drug Awareness Contest, promoting a drug-free lifestyle.

March is a busy month at RHS, with a March Madness Food and Fun Day, NJGPA testing, and various other events on the calendar. Dr. Hopkins and the staff are dedicated to providing a well-rounded education and fostering a supportive community at Rutherford High School."
