"I left because some teachers cared more for their paycheck than the students. I remember it was so hot in that school at one point I nearly passed out. The food was okay but they were so cheap on air conditioning."
"Education is an important priority in a kid's life and you will not find any of that in Garfield High School, teachers lack charisma and energy required to teach students. Students often get bored of cookie cutter lessons that lack any sort of hook for students to get involved. Most lessons consist of taking notes and listening to the teacher for ninety minutes. Some teachers have "self teaching" classes where students absurdly teach themselves with minimal teacher guidance which leads to kids talking about various other subjects and it dissolves into chaos. No Air Conditioning and overpopulated, would not recommend"
"Terrible school. More like a prison really. Outdated structurally, and in mindset. Teachers for the most part have a "do as I say, not as I do" way of things, and a "My way or else" attitude. It is very apparent that they are just waiting on their tenure, and doing the minimum that must be done to keep their jobs until then. Students are treated more like cattle than people."
"Worst school I've ever attended by far. I've moved all my life and I feel this school has will leave/has left the worst possible impression on myself, as a student. The reasonings for certain rules are stupid and inexcusable. Not even backpacks are permitted. The lunch is the worst aspect of the school. It tastes/looks mostly undercooked & nasty while it also fails to serve proper proportions. The teachers themselves are no better. They're horrible at stuff they've claimed to be doing for a long time. They also feel the need to touch you. Just don't send your child here, even if living here is cheap."
"Below standard educators. School administration does the least they can for students. Educators call it responsibility, but in reality they strive for students to fail. They push college onto those who have no plans for it. They also target students with rumors that are not at all true and have the school detective threaten them. Me personally, I've been threatened by Detective Koptyra for a rumor that was completely false with 2 rounds in my chest in front of the principal. Do NOT send your children to this dump."
