"I am an alum of Pioneer Academy. Along with many other factors, one thing that distinguishes Pioneer Academy from other schools is the dedication to the college application process. The application process for college requires a significant amount of time and work. However, it also requires a great deal of motivation. My college counselors assisted me in maintaining my drive throughout the process. Starting this journey with our counselors as early as our junior year was critical in the long run, especially for our personal essays and supplemental essays. Their individualized advice, guidance, and help made the process go much more smoothly than it would have otherwise. In challenging moments, they were always there to encourage me and answer my questions. Looking back at my experience, I am extremely grateful for all the assistance that I received from my counselor and teachers. My son is currently a senior in high school, He started at Pioneer academy in 5th grade, having trouble in public school until then. Every day was war getting him to go to school, within the first month his attitude towards school changed. Being a single mom and working full time you can imagine the struggles we faced.
